They aren't the superstars the league needs to showcase its game. They aren't Jordan or Magic or Bird. They don't have the charisma to be that level. LeBron may have it eventually, but right now, he doesn't. He's getting into a pissing contest with DeShawn Stevenson from the Wizards. Who is this guy? Why is he able to ruffle the feathers of the NBA's elite?
Kobe's "I will pout till I am traded" attitude completely turned me against him this year. Yes, he turned it around in the end, but I am just waiting for him to put his teammates, coach, Shaq, and Jack Nicholson under the bus if they lose before the finals.
I know everyone wants to compare Kobe and LeBron to Jordan, Magic, or Bird. Because it's what the sport needs. It needs someone to hang their hat on, and they are trying real hard.
I guess I should have typed super stars instead of just stars...because they are stars. Just not the superstars the sport needs. LeBron may mature and be that person, but right now, in 2008 he's not. Kobe will never be. The sportswriters loathe Kobe, they see his attitude and respond accordingly. </div></div>
now that i can understand where you are coming from
the league is pretty much banking on lebron and dwade to carry it.
but CP3 has just a bad of an attitude as kobe or lebron, hes really immature.
and cane, the spurs really run more now than 4-5 years ago, parker has developed into one of the top three pgs in the league, he outplayed mvp steve nash in the series.
and ginobli is a blast to watch, he is fun as [censored].
